Responsibilities:

As a Chef at Aran Lodge, you will play a crucial role in our residents' daily lives, responsible for:

Menu Creation:
Develop and execute menus that align with our culinary standards and delight our guests.

Nutrition Management:
Develop and prepare nutritious and delicious meals that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our residents.

Kitchen Operations:

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, including menu planning, ordering, and maintaining a clean and sanitary cooking environment.

Collaboration:

Work closely with our dedicated team to ensure a seamless dining experience for residents, considering any dietary restrictions or special requirements.

Culinary Creativity:

Bring culinary creativity to the table by crafting menus that cater to the diverse tastes and nutritional needs of our residents.

Further:

Ensure food is cooked properly and served at the right temperature
Follow proper food handling and safety procedures
Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations
Assist in meal preparation and presentation
Monitor inventory levels and communicate any shortages or discrepancies

Experience:

Previous experience as a cook in a restaurant or other Care home
Knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation methods
Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils
Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices
Ability to work in a fastpaced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
