Description

Teaching Assistant:
Grade 4 AAAF5013

The Russett Learning Trust and Trustees wish to appoint suitably qualified Grade 4 Teaching Assistants to join our hard working and enthusiastic team at the Russett School.

Our Values are the foundation from which we grow and develop.

We value. **Community - Resilience - Wellbeing - Respect

  • Empowerment**At the Russett School we seek to prepare our learners for life through prioritising skills required to meet their full potential.

Through our specialist curriculum, our children and young people are empowered through a strong emphasis on the development of individual communication strategies.

Our Russett team provide enriching and safe environments, where our pupils are encouraged to develop independence, whilst promoting well-being for a happy and fulfilled future.

We have also asked our pupils what they would like to see in a Teaching Assistant and these are some of their responses:
Sporty, respectful, helpful, talented, proactive, smart and intelligent, someone nice and quiet, good at science, maths, building and running and someone who does fun stuff and makes cakes

This is an outstanding opportunity for Teaching Assistants who are suitably qualified and experienced with passion and drive to make a difference for pupils and young people with SEN.

We value our team and the Trust is committed to supporting and developing staff through a comprehensive staff training programme, extensive CPD and ongoing career development opportunities.

Staff wellbeing is extremely important to us and all staff have access to support from the Schools Advisory Service from which they can access amongst other things:

  • Annual health check
  • Counselling services
  • Physiotherapy and mindfulness
  • GP phone and video consultations
  • Nurse support

The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the school is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are 'spent' unless 'protected' under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children.
