Description
Our client is a well-established company who specialises in windows, doors and conservatory roof replacements. They are currently recruiting for a Design Consultant to join their team in Norwich. The role consists of working in the office and visiting customersto discuss their requirements. Therefore a full driving licence and own vehicle are required. On completion of your probationary period, a company car will be offered. This is not a cold-calling sales role, all the leads are inbound from customers who haverequested a quotation. My client is interested in speaking to anyone with a strong sales background.


As a Design Consultant, your role will involve:

  • Using your own initiative, find creative ways to identify new opportunities
  • Conduct market research to identify new selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs
  • Attend networking events to identify and establish new opportunities
  • Work with internal team members to identify new business opportunities
  • Proactively follow up on all enquiries both inbound and outbound and sell the company products by establishing contact and developing relationships with prospective clients
  • Schedule meetings with customers both facetoface and remotely
  • Listen to customer requirements and present appropriately to make a sale
  • Diary management
  • Monitor competitor activity
  • Meet and exceed sales targets
  • Keep up to date with technical knowledge through training, industry news and regulations
  • Identify new products or product improvements by keeping up to date with current industry trends

To be considered for the Design Consultant role you must have:

  • A minimum of 3 years of sales experience
  • this could be from the Motor Trade, Estate Agency, Travel or even recruitment.
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Basic experience in how to measure/survey
  • An interest in interior design would be beneficial
  • Experience with using google docs, excel word and CRM systems
  • A driving licence and own vehicle for the first 3 months

Working hours:

As a Design Consultant, you'll be required to work full-time Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week. Flexibility is essential and occasional weekend work may be required.


Our client is offering the successful Design Consultant:

  • £25,000 basic
- £60,000/£70,000 OTE
