Description

The Head of Commercial Operations will play a leading role in supporting NHSBT in a major transformation of the Commercial Function.

This will include leading, developing and implementing best practice and continuous improvement while ensuring and assuring delivery the sourcing, procurement and supplier and contract management of critical services that involve multi-faceted engagement across multiple stakeholders both within NHSBT and across Government.

You will be responsible for maintaining, and developing the overarching Commercial systems and systems strategy, including pipeline, capacity, tendering and sourcing capability as well as market intelligence.

You will also be responsible for motivating and leading a diverse team of commercial professionals and growing the team capabilities in line with the transformation agenda.

You will build & manage relationships with a range of stakeholders including Suppliers, NHSBT, DHSC, Cabinet Office, Home Nations, and Overseas NHSBT equivalent organisation.

all of which will involve presenting and communicating highly complex information for negotiations and organisation to achieve strategic alignment.

With responsibility for leading the governance and assurance of NHSBT commercial commitment, you will lead discrete projects ensuring that the Operations team provide high quality support services to inform effective decision-making.
