Summary
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will be helping to make tea supported by the guidance and supervision of experienced members of the production team.
Teamwork is key - You will be part of a small production team and this means getting involved, working together, and caring for your teammates.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Oversee Machinery
- Set up and operate food packing line, including filling the machine, calibration, and cleaning to start a production cycle
- Operate the food packing line, monitoring the equipment performance, making adjustments to improve operational efficiency
- Periodic testing and maintenance of the equipment to prevent breakdowns and optimise efficiency
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet the company quality standards and make adjustments accordingly
- Maintain records of approved and defective units or final products
- Follow food safety protocols and ensure that all packaging meets food safety regulations
- Communicate with team members and supervisor to coordinate production schedules and ensure that goals are met.

Skills and Experience
- Proven experience as a machine operator in a food manufacturing environment
- Experience using hand tools to perform minor equipment repairs and maintenance
- Ability to do repetitive tasks; detailoriented; understanding of industry and safety standards
- Positive and resourceful approach to solving issues
- Adherence to health and safety regulations
- Computer competent. Operators enter data into the company's system, keep track of inventory, maintain effective records
- Takes pride in their work and reaching production goals.

£23,500.00-£25,000.00 per year
