£37,000 - £39,000 with excellent benefits

About the role:


You will advise line managers and staff on best practice throughout all areas of the employee lifecycle: you'll use your expertise to bring to life our people related policies and procedures: no two days will be alike.

Reporting into a member of the People Business Partnering Team, you will work across a range of activities, escalating complex ER cases as necessary to the People Business Partner and supporting on projects.


  • Probation and performance management
  • Sickness absence management including return to work interview, stress risk assessments, welfare cases and occupational health referrals
  • Supporting managers in flexible working queries and supporting our transition into hybrid working
  • Cofacilitating and managing the logistics for staff and manager training sessions and workshops
  • Undertaking job evaluations as directed by the People Business Partners

About you:

You'll be available to start immediately and can commit to the full duration of this fixed term contact.

You'll be the type of person who thrives on being able to use their initiative and advise on HR policies and best practice.

You'll be passionate about HR and can positively influence and advise on a range of people matters across the employee life cycle.

You don't need to be a recruitment expert - as we have a great Talent Acquisition Team, but you will need to have excellent ER relations experience, be multi-talented and willing to be hands on, and use your organisational skills to ensure the day-to-day administrative tasks are completed to a high standard too.

You'll also be proactive to ensure new starters have a successful probation period, and from there help create a solid foundation for their future careers within WaterAid.
