Operations Team Manager - Private Patient Transport
Shift Work - Monday to Friday - No weekends - 45 hrs per week.


This Private Patient Transport business is exceptionally busy and are looking to continue their successful growth with the addition of 4 new Operational Team Managers - 2 in NW London and 2 at the HQ in Essex.


Main purpose of the role:

Day to day management of the operational road crews.

To monitor compliance and the efficiency of the teams and processes and measure and monitor these against the company KPIs and targets.

To promote culture and high professional standards across all businessareas.

Reporting to the Service Delivery Team the main responsibilities are:

  • Oversee operational systems, processes, and infrastructure while looking for opportunities of improvement or revision.
  • On call duties across the shift patterns as per the company rota.
  • Understand compliance in relation to our governing bodies and contractual needs and support the management of our statutory responsibilities through the management framework.
  • Crew the vehicle to assess the efficiency of training, internal processes, attitudes and behaviour, customer service, uniform, and cleanliness.
  • Create and populate a weekly/monthly report to feed back findings on the above to enable visualisation of how the services operate and any training needs to be discussed.
  • Management and identification of team training needs.
  • Support HR in the follow of up individual lapses of qualifications, licences, or certificates, ensuring that all mandatory training is completed by your team
  • Support with the reporting of incidents and providing responses to incidents and complaints alongside the company compliance director.
  • Quality assurance across the company.
  • Work alongside control in the planning and dispatch of teams to ensure that KPI's are achieved.

Ideal / Desired Experience for this role:

  • A background in care would be desirable.
  • Experience as a Paramedic, ACA, nurse, care worker or other medically trained individual with leadership skills and knowledge of the NHS and CQC would contribute to being a good fit.
  • A degree qualification or Management/leadership qualification is desirable but not essential. Experience in leading others and the right mindset to guide others is a requirement.
  • You would be expected to undertake training as necessary in line with the development of the post to include but would not be limited to FREC3/4 within 12 months of your start date
  • A full, current driving license with no more than 3 points as the role is predominantly field based
The salary for the role is up to £30k with ongoing training, development & support.
