Description
Our new strategy called Our Way Forward sets out our vision to put "Quality at our HEART".

This role has been created to lead the day-today coordination and implementation of our strategy, including on-going engagement with patients, carers, staff, partners, and local communities on strategic issues.


Responsibilities of this role include:


  • Coordinating the implementation of the Our Way Forward strategy programme, such as ensuring relevant goals and supported within divisions and corporate areas, coordinating overall updates, managing interdependencies and mitigating risks between areas, and updating the Strategy Group, Trust Executive Group and Board sub-committees on progress and changes required
  • Providing specialist expertise into developing high quality enabling strategies and plans, including divisional clinical strategies, cross-cutting topics such as outpatients or young people, digital, estates, workforce and other issues as required
  • Leading implementationof specific complex and collaborative Trust-wide and/or partnership strategic projects, including financial management of the project, as required
  • Engaging patients, carers, staff, partners,and local communitiesin strategic issues such as progress and evolution of our strategy to respond to changing events
  • Supporting strategic partnershipsincluding representing the trust in external events and meetings with partners and keeping the trust updated on issues and context of our local partners and communities
  • Providing strategic perspectiveson new and innovative business development, commercial and integration opportunities and delivery models as appropriate, supporting others incorporate these insights into their own programmes and improvements


The post holder is expected to operate at a senior level inside and outside the organisation, interpreting complex information and make presentations to the Board, sub-committees and large groups of senior staff and members of the public.

They must form highly effective working relationships with clinical and non-clinical colleagues providing expert knowledge and advice on strategic and financial management within the context of high-quality service delivery.


The post holder will work closely with and support the Director of Strategy and Transformation, representing the department at key management and operational meetings.

They will also support the Trust and Director of Strategy and Transformation in developing any plans which deliver long term sustainability in support of the Trust's overall strategic plan and regulatory requirements.

They will play an important role enabling closer collaboration between and across the north west London acute provider collaborative and with other integrated care system partners, for example contributing to development of joint strategic initiatives.
