Description

Border to Coast is seeking an experienced Japan Equity Portfolio Manager to play an integral role in the management of our Overseas Developed Equity Markets portfolio.

About the Role:

Border to Coast currently manages ~£12bn of equity assets internally including £600m in our Japan equity portfolio.

As a Portfolio Manager, you will have the opportunity to manage the Japan equity portfolio.

In the role, you will be responsible for stock selection and portfolio construction in accordance with Border to Coast's investment policy, investment philosophy, process and procedures as well as relevant legal or regulatory documentation.


You will prepare and maintain high quality fundamental research on potential and existing investments, supporting investment decision making and portfolio construction using internal and external sources of data and research.

You will execute investment transactions and regularly review the performance, attribution, exposure and risk metrics for the fund and provide commentary for client reporting.


In addition, you will participate in investment team meetings, liaise with the research and risk teams to ensure an integrated investment approach and provide feedback on the quality, depth and focus of research.

You will produce investment thought pieces and briefs on relevant events and the outlook for your area of investment expertise.
