Interim Employee Relations Partner
Our client, a highly reputable higher-education organisation is looking for an experienced Interim Employee Relations Partner.
Initially for a 3 month fixed term contract with the future possibility of being extended of even possibly permanent, you will be providing specialist ER support through thorough ER investigations on all employee relations issues and enhance management capability on dealing with these issues.
You will be assisting with the development of all policies and procedures relating to Employee Relations activities and ensure these are reviewed and updated.
An element of coaching managers will also be needed in providing guidance, coaching and support to managers in respect of Disciplinary and Investigations to include providing guidance and training on ER issues.
In addition you will be asked to support on redundancy procedures as required and consult with Joint Trade Unions and individuals.
We are looking for someone who can proactively manage people related activities such as absence management, resource planning and overall management of the establishment to support the Head of HR Business Partnering.
This is a hybrid role working 2 days a week in the office in Bristol and 3 remotely with the opportunity to add value and work in a friendly established team.
- CIPD Level 7 qualified & Ideally degree educated in either Employment Law or HR Management
- In depth experience in the resolution of complex employee relations issues.
- The ability to coach and train managers in investigation skills
- Extensive knowledge of employment law and best practice in relation to employee relations, specifically relating to disciplinary and resolution policies and procedures
- Excellent IT skills in Microsoft Office and CRM databases
- Excellent report writing and language skills
- A sense of pace, able to multitask and juggle conflicting priorities.
You will be undertaking in depth ER investigations to influence, persuade and advise managers on how to effectively handle complex employee relations situations, highlighting risks where appropriate.
You will be able to work autonomously and will be responsible for your own work load, managing your own time and priorities.
