Financial Controller

Surrey / Hants border (flexi working)
You will operate as the No.2 to the CFO for this impressive, fast track Private Equity SaaS /Fintech client.

I am looking for an experienced Financial Controller with a background oreferably from the tech sector.

This is a key role responsible for producing and running of the financial reporting team. You will have the scope for providing the development and improvement of the governance framework and and internal processses and controls


Experience as an effective and inspirational business leader is essential as the business is on a high growth phase of their offering.


The role offers both an operational controls as well as commercial aspects to provide a broad and wide reaching opportunity for a qualified finance leader within this fast paced environment.


Responsible for:


Provide control and smooth running of the month end process, produce management accounts (P&L, cashflow, balance sheet, budget variances) for the SLT and and board reporting.


  • Key deliverables include monthly management accounts with associated financial commentary as well as production of relevant board materials:
  • Production of financial statements and smooth running of external audit; management of audit and accounting external relationships
  • Management of the credit control function (through the Finance Operations & Treasury Manager) with responsibility for ensuring efficient operation
  • Partnering with our tax advisers to ensure full compliance across our regulatory responsibilities across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Coordination of Company Secretarial processes
  • Building, managing and developing the team, setting of personal and team objectives and goals that support both business priorities and individual development plans

Skills required:


  • Qualified accountant with a strong academic record (ACA and Top 10 preferred)
  • Existing Financial Controllership experience with a track record of implementation improvements within a internal control environment (SaaS / PaaS / Tech sector preferred)
  • Impressive technical accounting knowledge
  • Ability to drive key accounting cycles processes and management experience alongside evidence of implementing business and process change
  • Excellent analytical, communication and influencing skills
  • Team leadership
  • Ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • A selfstarter with experience of being able to work independently, juggling and prioritising across varying workloads and consistently meeting deadlines
  • Full eligibility to work in the UK
