EXPERIENCED BENCH JOINER / DISPLAY CARPENTER / CABINET MAKER
Beechwood Studios are the brand activation company that powers design, quality, innovation and organisation to ambitious brands looking to plant their roots in the Travel Retail environment, producing pop-up displays, promotions and instore exhibitions for their latest and best campaigns across the UK airports.
Beechwood works with globally renowned high-end fashion and fragrance houses within all travel retail stores and spaces across the United Kingdom and Great Britain.
They are currently looking to expand the team, to include a full-time experienced Bench Joiner / Display Carpenter / Cabinet Maker, who would work alongside our skilled manufacturing department, to bring ideas to life.
Another part of the position is assisting the entire team with the fit-out operations, which includes travelling to site on a monthly overnight changeover schedule and installing/de-rigging the projects in Airports across the UK.
Main Duties and Responsibilities;
- Manufacture/produce the point of sale unitary/furniture/features involved with the project
- Finalise and prepare finished products for onward shipping/fitout
Main Accountabilities and Requirements;
- Must be experienced in bench joinery/cabinet making/display carpentry (min 5 years)
- Must be able to manufacture and construct Point of Sale Unitary / Furniture
- Must be able to follow design briefs accurately
- Must be able to read technical/construction drawings correctly
- Must be able to work to strict production deadlines
- Must be willing to complete quality management and assurance processes
- Must be able to work with and ensure Health and Safety guidelines
- Must have full 5 year UK work/address history
- Must have a full UK Drivers license
- Be familiar and have knowledge of shop fitting, installation of activations would be an advantage
- Preferred familiarity with sheet material and laminate, and how to apply/use
- CSCS Card desirable, but not essential

- Flexible approach to bench work Extensive woodworking / joinery experience
- Solid experience in use of all woodworking machinery
- Positive and friendly attitude
- Ability to work as a team of independently using initiative
- Flexible to work overtime hours to complete projects ontime
- Flexible to work outside normal working hours for the fitout schedules (overnight)
Working Hours:
- Mon-Thurs: 08:00 17:30
- Fri: 08:00 16:00
- 30min Lunch Break
Wage:
- Negotiable dependant on experience
