ZSL London Zoo

Hours:37.5 hours, Monday - Friday

Salary:
Based on aged

16-18 £7/hour £13,650

19+ £7.49/hour £14,605

We have an exciting opportunity for 2 Property Maintenance apprentices to join us at our London Zoo site. With a short term contract offered from now until September when the apprenticeship agreement commences.

Qualifications:

GCSE Grades A
C or 9 in English, Maths and those to suit the apprenticeship criteria

Skills & Knowledge:

You must be Interested in becoming a Property Maintenance Operative
Able to prioritise in a fastpaced environment
Willingness to learn new skills
Must possess a positive can do attitude and work well within a team

Eligibility to work in UK
Excellent verbal communication
Strong interpersonal skills and able to build relationships
Able to follow instructions
Able to take constructive feedback and learn from mistakes
Good practical skills and great timekeeping

What you'll do:

To work alongside a skilled tradesmen.
Working safely at all times, complying with Health, Safety and Environmental legislation.
Preparing, checking and using the appropriate documentation (such as job instructions, drawings, quality control documentation).
Ensuring that all work is performed within the requirements of the relevant statutory legislation.
Planning and where applicable obtaining all the resources required to undertake the work activity.
Undertaking the work activity using the correct processes, procedures and equipment.
