About the job?


As a Rail Fleet Project Manager, you will ensure the successful management of London Underground and TfL and of any suppliers in order to meet the needs of customers.

You will be required to deliver high quality projects on time and within the delegatedbudget agreed with the sponsors.

The role will support the Senior Project Manager while working alongside specialised support teams to ensure the implementation of a comprehensive and successful project delivery model.


Key responsibilities??

  • Plan and manage noncomplex projects with a value of up to £20m using TfL's delivery methodology and governance structures to ensure delivery of intended LU/TfL business benefits.
  • Establish and maintain a good, professional, and proactive working relationship with the Contractor/Delivery partner's project management team.
  • Managing or working with APMS, Cost Managers, Programme Managers, Engineers and Risk managers
  • Agree major project requirements with the Project Sponsor / Contract Manager to ensure that business objectives are met.
  • Responsible for the daytoday management of project governance, reporting and control structures.

Skills, knowledge, and experience?

  • Worked for London Underground or Network Rail / Crossrail
  • Desired Engineering Qualification
  • Professional Qualification in Project Management, such as PRINCE2 or APMP.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of project budgeting, procurement processes and contract management.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of project control tools and techniques.
Hybrid working, minimum two days in the Stratford/Palestra office or at the depot. Payrate £425 Umbrella or £315.95 PAYE. Contract duration is 12 months.
