Key Information:


Salary:
Appointments are normally made at the starting salary, however comparable skills and experience will be considered. Future progression is based on annual performance review.


Duration of Contract:
Fixed Term for 6 months


Hours per week: 35 hours per week (Full Time)


Location:
Sutton. This role is eligible for hybrid working

Job Details:


As the Equality diversity and inclusion intern, you will contribute to our work to create a culture where everyone can thrive.

You will support preparation of our 2025 Athena Swan award submission. This will include consulting with staff and students, gathering and analysing data, making reports and recommendations for actions.


You will work closely with our equality networks (including LGBT+, race equity, disability and parents networks) and staff and student groups to identify good practices and challenges to developing a positive research culture.

You will assist with organising talks, conferences and network events, including providing administrative support to our equality networks.


This is an opportunity to gain experience working in some of the key equality programmes used across higher education and in creating culture change.


Key Requirements


You will have good interpersonal skills, able to work constructively with wide range of people and groups across the ICR.

You will have good organisational skills so that you can balance different projects and activities.


Department/Directorate Information
The ICR's equality diversity and inclusion programme aims to create a culture where everyone can thrive.


Based in the HR Directorate, the Learning and Organisational Development team help to deliver a positive research culture for staff, students and clinicians at the ICR.

This includes providing training and career development support, helping to ensure fair, inclusive and supportive work environment and engaging research teams, staff and student networks to deliver the ICR's commitments under the Technician Commitment, HR Excellence in Research and Athena SWAN programmes
