Exciting opportunity Sulzer Services UK and Nordics are going through a transformation project and we are looking for a passionate and experienced leader to be our Head of Planning and Scheduling.

This is a critical strategic role to develop and lead the Sales, Inventory, Operations, and Planning (SIOP) processes and be the functional Head of the customer project management team.

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

Develop and implement the Sales, Inventory, Operations, and Planning (SIOP) at sub region and region and with the sales team run a regular meeting cadence to management strategic and tactical growth plans
Develop and implement logistics processes that govern how the service centres plan projects, assess load and update ERP systems to visualise capacity at a work centre / pool level
Develop and implement all tools required to ensure all key projects effectively, consistently, and efficiently project managed in the sub region
Create and manage critical process load and capacity balance and with the sales / regional directors
Functional responsibility for Project and Planning Managers including their project managers within service centres

What you bring to Sulzer:

Masters / Degree in related discipline and/or over 10 years of relevant experience within a complex service business across various project management and scheduling roles
Experience with large complex bluechip companies across Power and defence sectors
Senior stakeholder management and engagement
Matrix organization experience as part of or leading a function
Ability to design, review and manage complex systems and processes
Proactive nature with a desire to continuously improve processes and problemsolving with excellent attention to detail

You will be a part of our Projects team within the Services UK and Nordics this falls within the Services EMEA division at Sulzer.

This is a Remote based role with travel across the service centres as and when required.

The Sulzer Service UK business provides maintenance and repair solutions to customers across the oil, gas, water, and energy sectors.

It operates across a network of 18 service centres with circa 700 staff and a turnover of £110 million.

The UK Services & Nordics business is spread across sites in; Aberdeen (Ellon), Falkirk, Middlesbrough, York, Bromborough, Leeds, Sheffield, Nottingham, Birmingham, Ipswich, Avonmouth, Bristol, Southampton, Ashford, Chessington.
