GBR Recruitment are recruiting exclusively for a Finance Assistant to join a well established progressive engineering company working within a small and friendly Finance / Accounts team.


This role is varied and offers great opportunities for business exposure and learning as well as supporting the daily financial / accountancy transactions of the business and accurately maintaining records.

You will assist in keeping track of the companies finances / accounts working closely with the Finance Manager.

Completing tasks such as entering data onto company databases, prepare financial statements, process invoices, and support other employees throughoutany accounting processes.


Essential duties and responsibilities (this list is not exhaustive):

  • Processing the daily bank reconciliations
  • Posting journals
  • Assisting with month end tasks
  • Export and Import documentation maintenance
  • General assistance and admin
  • Stock control
  • Selfbills admin
  • Demo/Hire form maintenance

Finance Assistant Requirements:


  • Accounting / Finanace knowledge and experience (various levels considered)
  • Studying/Part qualified AAT Level 2 as a minimum or equivalent experience
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook,)
  • Strong Excel skills are a requirement to be successful in this role
  • Able to work on own initiative and part of a team
