Description
Study Support / Personal Assistant / Academic Researcher for a Masters Student *Graduate position only*Fixed Term Contract from June - September weeks)

Salary £16p/h

Full Time hours 35-45hrs per week Mon - Fri 9am-6pm (flexible start/finish times)

I am a fun-loving, out-going, young, female postgraduate student with Cerebral Palsy, undertaking a Sports Management, Politics and International Development Masters at Loughborough University.

As I will be residing at my family home near Winchester to complete my Masters, I am looking for someone to provide professional and personal support to enable me to undertake my final research project/thesis.

This role involves supporting me in completing my thesis titled, The motivational impact of paediatric physio when training athletes with Cerebral Palsy.

You will be required to support me in conducting both primary (i.e. interviews) and secondary research, and to disseminate some of the content to translate into my thesis. Although you don't have to be a 'tutor' it would be really helpful if you have experience of tutoring/mentoring other students (e.g. tutoring A level students).

I will require you to be comfortable assisting with basic personal care (no experience is necessary and full training will be provided).

I need someone who understands that my disability is something that I live with - it is not WHO I am.

The support you will provide is critical for me to be able to live life to the full, so I am looking for someone who is super reliable and wants to do this job until September.

Knowledge, skills & experience required:
A 2:1 or above in Sport Science, Social Science or Humanities.

Ability to 'teach' and act as a mentor/tutor.

Strong verbal and written communication - including public speaking.

Excellent time keeping and ability to work to deadlines.

Strong organisational skills to handle a busy schedule.

A proactive individual with good initiative.

A can-do attitude and a willingness to learn.

Excellent Microsoft office skills (Mac user experience would be an advantage).

Non-smokers only - smoking or vaping will not be permitted whilst on shift.

A full UK driving license and own mode of transport. Ability to travel to a remote family home near Winchester.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist me with essays and primary research (interviews) as study support.

Accompany me on academic and extracurricular activities/trips, i.e. sports matches.

Accompany me to appointments and meetings (minutes will need to be taken during all meetings).

Assist with personal care (no experience is necessary and full training will be provided).
