Job overview:


The NCA are delighted to offer posts for midwives to join the NCA as one of our community midwives working within our ROMES team who provide care for women and birthing people with complex social needs.


This role will involve providing antenatal and postnatal care for a small caseload of women and birthing people who require bespoke supportive midwifery care.

Your caseload may include supporting women with a learning disability, mental health or domestic violence issues, substance and alcohol use, homelessness, young women and asylum seekers.


Main duties of the job:

The provision of midwifery antenatal and postnatal care for a caseload of vulnerable women.

Promote public health agenda and develop and share expertise in caring for women with complex social needs.

Contribute to supporting women, birthing people and families through relevant safeguarding forums.

Provide care during the antenatal intrapartum and postnatal care within the Community setting.

Providing the highest standard of care for women and their families by efficient use of available resources

Promote women's and families equality, diversity and rights.

Assess women and babies health and wellbeing needs when those needs are complex.

  • Willingness to undertake relevant further study as required for the post
