    Job Title: Hydraulic Modeller/Hydrology Consultant

    Location: Fully Remote

    Type: Flexible Working Hours, Remote, Permanent.

    The role of a Hydraulic Modeller/Hydrology Consultant is to provide expertise in flood risk assessments and modelling for complex projects.

    The company has a strong track record of supporting clients on challenging projects, including those in flood zone 3b and delivering flood mitigation studies.

    This is an opportunity to develop your career in the water/environment sector, working independently and as part of a distributed team.

    You will work across private sector and major infrastructure jobs with a diverse project portfolio, and have opportunities to work internationally.

    To be successful in this role, you will need a minimum degree in Geography, Environmental Management or Engineering, and significant experience in UK-recognised flood modelling packages such as Flood Modeller, ESTRY and TUFLOW.

    You will also need to be able to communicate your decision-making process, adapt to challenging modelling requirements and present technically sound information to stakeholders.

    Responsibilities include writing clear, concise and technically accurate modelling reports, undertaking hydrological analysis for model inputs and developing hydraulic models from survey and check data.

    Key Requirements:

    • Flood modelling experience using Flood Modeller, ESTRY and TUFLOW
    • Experience with WINFAP/ReFH statistical methods
    • Ability to communicate complex modelling outputs to stakeholders
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
