Description
Building and maintaining relationships with customers through excellent communication.

  • Taking a proactive role in managing and collecting debts of company debtors.
  • Evaluating new credit requests and reviewing customers' credit rankings with credit insurance company.
  • Ensure that debts are paid in a timely manner.
  • Chasing outstanding payments.
  • Submit overdue invoices to debt collection agencies.
  • Maintaining and updating the sales ledger database.
  • Resolving any invoice queries with customers.
  • Processing and reconciliation of invoices
  • Ensuring debt is kept below 2 months.
  • Post receipts and allocation.
  • Negotiating repayment plans
  • Processing sales ledger transactions to enable to closure of ledgers.

Skills and Experience:


  • Proficient in Microsoft Office package with solid understanding in Excel
  • In depth accounting experience of sales ledger.
  • Patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
  • Analytical skills and thorough attention to detail.
  • The ability to listen and negotiate with customers.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Persistence and determination.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • The ability to prioritise a heavy workload.
  • Previous credit control experience required.
  • Team player with a handson approach
  • An exceptional level of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Good organisational and communication skills.

Job Types:
Full-time, Temp to perm

Contract length: 6 months
