Have you got experience with children and hold an NNEB or NVQ level 3 equivalent qualification, are you looking for a new challenge? Come and join our team at Basildon Hospital Paediatrics as a Band 4 Associate Practitioner.


The Band 4 Associate Practitioner is an exciting role, the successful applicant will be taught vital skills such as care of a tracheostomy tube, venepuncture, cannulation, NG feeding and tube placement, wound closures, plastering and much more.


You will work alongside the multi-disciplinary team in the delivery of high standards of care to children and young people who present with medical and complex needs.


The successful applicant with support and training will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for specified children and young people in a dynamic Children's Emergency Department according to their individual needs.


You will work with the team flexibly across the children's unit to create a caring and safe environment for children, young people and their families.


The successful applicant will learn how to assess and recognise clinical deterioration in patients and report to the nurse/doctor in charge of their care by means of monitoring and recording the patient's condition.
