Key Responsibilities:
- To work as part of the Mobile Support Team supplying gas competency to external clients.
- To carry out PPM to boilers and associated plant, including Reactive Maintenance and extra works/emergencies in accordance with the contract requirements on Mechanical Services.
- To undertake project works and minor turnkey projects to boiler plant and associated equipment.
- To provide detailed reporting with predictive times for remedial and chargeable works, and lifecycle condition reporting.
- To provide a high level of Gas technical and hands on support in the provision of service.
- Work as a key pert of the Mobile Support Team.
- Carry out PPM in accordance with the set schedules and standards to maximise the operational effectiveness of all systems.
- Adherence to engineering standards in accordance with HASAWA requirements.
- To ensure onsite Quality Assurance procedures are adhered to in all respects and to maintain accurate records/documentation associated with the mechanical aspects of the PPM and Plant.
- Respond in a prompt and effective manner to all reactive maintenance issues.
- To coordinate visiting specialist subcontractors associated with mechanical aspects of the PPM schedules.
- To respond to all call outs and cover breakdowns and emergencies associated with the mechanical services aspects of the contract as required.
- Assist other trades as required.
Skills & Experience:
Essential:
- NVQ level 23 (Mechanical discipline e.g., Heating & Ventilation 6018 or recognised equivalent e.g., City & Guilds (Mechanical Discipline).
- Gas Safe qualification in Commercial Gas.
- Working knowledge and experience of oilfired appliances.
- Experience of combustion and the utilisation of gas analysers for improved efficiency.
- Experienced in the Gas Appliances, Oil appliances and mechanical aspects of general building PPM schedules & reactive works.
- NIC accredited for Gas installation
- Working knowledge/Training of AHU, BMS, AC equipment Cold Water systems, H&V systems and Water Treatment.
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
- Experience in computer PPM management systems (Concept 5000 and Evolution)
- Electrically Qualified
- Supervisory experience for future development
- Experience in BMS, Automatic Controls, Building Automation Systems
- ACOP L8 Control of Legionella
- Compliant on F Gas, C&G Level 2 Category 1 ODS Regulations
- OFTEC accredited or trained competency in Oil Fired Appliances
