    Description

    Senior Engineer – Systems Engineering (Requirements & Acceptance)

    Location: Coventry

    Salary: £ Negotiable dependant on skills and experience

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Support Requirements and Acceptance activities to agreed time, cost and quality in accordance with project or business milestones and undertake work in accordance with company, safety, environmental, contractual and local business processes, standards, procedures and documentation.
    • Describe good quality system requirements (and the way those requirements validate stakeholder needs) and acceptance criteria.
    • Log the system validation evidence, and stakeholder acceptance.
    • Evaluate design proving evidence to ensure it is comprehensive, captured within the requirements management tools and has been endorsed by the appropriate level of authority.
    • Contribute to estimates for the scope of work and resources required to deliver it in order to support bids, proposal development and project planning activities for various systems.
    • Provide technical guidance to other engineers and support the engineering management team in planning and controlling specialist activities.

    Your Skills and Experience:

    • STEM-related degree or previous experience within an Aerospace/Automotive/Defence/Telecommunications/Nuclear environment.
    • Familiarity with Systems Engineering – Requirements and Acceptance process and practices in the defence, maritime or closely linked industry.
    • Awareness of the engineering lifecycle with experience of operating in the phase relevant to the role and understanding of the entire engineering lifecycle.
    • Knowledge of relevant engineering standards, including safety and environmental regulations.
    • Experience of a requirements management tool such as DOORS.
