Join our data team and you will get the opportunity to create, manage, maintain & control the asset, cyber and work management data and information to ensure that all 250,000 assets that exist on the Electricity Transmission system are correctly registered and recognised in the regulated asset value.


You'll be responsible for managing the update of the Electricity Asset Register ensuring that the financial records are correctly attributed to the recorded assets, to enable accurate unit costs to be derived which underpin future cost targeting.


What you'll be getting up to:

  • Manage accurate asset records and scripts within Electricity Transmission's (NGET) core asset, geospatial and work management systems, throughout the asset lifecycle
  • Develop, implement strategies, policies, procedures and specifications associated with the production, retention and management of asset records, to ensure compliance with all relevant statutory and regulatory obligations
  • Liaise with multiple internal and external stakeholders and contribute to the creation of value cases to support NGET's evolving asset management approach to meet the requirements of our price controls
  • Establish and develop monitoring and reporting processes on asset data lifecycle performance
  • Develop improved data collection processes and identify systems improvements for handling NGET asset information to be used across all business streams including technical data, training and documentation requirements

About You:


  • In depth understanding, through experience of the assets that make up the Electricity Transmission systems and/or how asset data is used across the business.
  • A good knowledge of Asset and Work Management processes used across Electricity Transmission and in particular TP500
  • Knowledge and/or experience of extracting and manipulating data from ET asset, geospatial and work management systems.
  • Knowledge of and experience in querying databases
  • Demonstrated Analytical and Problem Solving Capabilities
  • Proven ability to contribute to effective team working.
  • Awareness of fixed asset accounting and the requirements of Sarbannes Oxley
