Description

We are seeking to recruit a full time, Front of House Pathology Receptionist in the Pathology department at City Hospital, Birmingham.

The post is fixed term for a 12 month period.

The role will be welcoming and attending to the needs of staff and visitors to the department, telephone answering and other administration duties.

There will also be the tracking and handover of Pathology samples for courier drivers taking them to a hub laboratory.

There will also be some handling and allocation of Pathology consumables.


The general hours of work will be 37.5 per week which will be worked Monday - Friday 9:00 am - 5:30 pm.

There will be some later shifts of 12:00 noon to 8:00pm included, and some weekend working of 9:00am - 1:00pm.


Some part time working might be considered although a flexible approach is required due to the need for the extended working day.
