Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Research Associate to join our multidisciplinary team working to develop novel methods of investigating neurological responses to dental pain and establish objective, measurable markers of pain severity.

The research project is funded by Haleon, and you will liaise with academic collaborators from across the Neuroscience Institute and industrial collaborators from Haleon.

You will be highly motivated, innovative and be able to work both independently and as part of a diverse team.

Working alongside a clinician you will be developing novel methods to identify and quantify sensitivity and neurological responses to stimulation of the teeth and assess how these responses are modified in patients with dentine sensitivity.

You will be working with Prof Fiona Boissonade, Dr Mahnaz Arvaneh, Dr Mark Barber and other staff appointed to work on the project (University of Sheffield), and industrial collaborators from Haleon.

We're one of the best not-for-profit organisations to work for in the UK.

The University's Total Reward Package includes a competitive salary, a generous Pension Scheme and annual leave entitlement, as well as access to a range of learning and development courses to support your personal and professional development.

We build teams of people from different heritages and lifestyles from across the world, whose talent and contributions complement each other to greatest effect.

We believe diversity in all its forms delivers greater impact through research, teaching and student experience.
