Jonathan Lee Recruitment are looking for a Senior Electronics Engineer to work for a Global Green Energy IoT company based in Berkshire, the details of the role are below:

  • The main objective for this role is to support the Hardware team in defining, designing, testing, validating and certifying products.
  • The Senior Electronics Engineer will be the owner of the electronics design and will be responsible for ensuring that all requirements are fulfilled.
  • The Senior Electronics Engineer will interact with all members of the Hardware team, and other departments when relevant (quality, project management, supply chain (component sourcing, finance, and factory)
  • Regularly report to the Hardware Manager the progress of the design (timelines) and the associated risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies
  • Will interface with other members of the team (layout, compatibility with the mechanical design, testing).
  • Will work with external test laboratories in order to qualify products.

This role will be responsible for:

  • Write hardware specification based on the requirements (customer and internal)
  • Designing products draw the schematic on our internal system
  • Select components based on our database or offer alternatives
  • Liaise with the layout engineer
  • Liaise with the mechanical team for the PCB design.
  • Testing Products
- deliver and implement a test plan of electronic designs
- write and store test reports

  • Share your results with design teams and
  • Validating and certifying products. This role might include some travels in the UK for labs and abroad (EDMI factories).

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Essential:

  • Knowledge in analog electronic design (experience in linear or switchedmode power supplies, experience in component selection, experience of PCB technology, knowledge of RF design)
  • Experience in interfacing with suppliers/prototyping companies.
  • Experience in certifying electronic/RF products for the European market (RED, LV, RoHS)

Desirable:

  • Experience in electronic manufacturing process (DFM, testing, automation)
  • Experience in quality processes
  • Experience in reliability design/tools (HALT, ALT, DFMEA)
