Your new role


Here at Hitachi Rail, we have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Marketing Coordinator, ideally with strong exposure to digital marketing, to join our Global brand and marketing team on a 14-month fixed term contract.

This is a unique and varied role where you will be involved in many aspects of marketing including project co-ordination, events management for both virtually and physical events, budget management, exposure and involvement in our global social media platforms plus much more


This is a great role to join a highly creative, friendly team and have the chance to work with various stakeholder in a multitude of countries.

Specifically, you will be responsible for the following deliverables:

  • The Brand and Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the global rail brand and marketing teams in executing their marketing and events strategy
  • Lead the design for digital event marketing supporting the global team with creative video and online content production with a focus on social media for B2B
  • Manage inbound customer communication mailboxes, being the first point of contact for all website enquiries
  • Support with content creation for the web including blog copywriting and reviewing
  • Help to execute the overall marketing plan and take a key role in event logistics, planning and execution
  • Ownership and management of the entire marketing purchasing process from purchase order input and management using SAP through to supplier payments and approvals
  • Support with creating presentations for internal and external stakeholders of a high standard using design software and office products
  • Maintain, develop and manage business relationships with key internal and industry stakeholders, in order to promote Hitachi, and manage confidential client information
  • Play a key role in helping to maintain team activity daytoday, setting up meetings for the team, taking meeting minutes, booking travel, processing expenses and proofreading external documentation

About you
Essential Requirements

  • Must have experience working in a similar role, ideally within a corporate, global organisation and have prior exposure of working with global teams with multiple languages and working time zones.
  • You are fluent in English; a second European language is desirable but not essential
  • You have strong financial acumen with an eye for detail and accuracy with complex data
  • You have strong problemsolving skills and are passionate about complex project management
  • You are competent with Microsoft Office Suite and have excellent Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel skills alongside Adobe software experience (desirable)
  • You are confident in giving presentations and collating reports
  • You are happy to work in a detailed manner and will travel as required, if needed with possible overnight stays for events in the UK and Europe
  • You will need to be flexible to a growing organisation and adaptable to changing aims & objectives.
