CALLING ALL HGV MECHANICS/FITTERS

Greetings to all our motor heads, vehicle virtuosos, and gearbox geniuses We're on the hunt for an HGV Mechanic/Fitter who can keep our fleet running smoothly and efficiently.

If you're the oil to our engine and the thread to our bolts, we want to meet you

YOUR MISSION, SHOULD YOU CHOOSE TO ACCEPT IT:

Your main task? Keep our top-notch motorised machines - Grabs, Tippers, and Tankers - humming like a finely-tuned watch and roaring like a pride of lions.

You'll be responsible for ensuring our vehicles run smoother than silk and last longer than Great Aunt Beryl's teacake

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

Staying on top of service and inspection schedules like a welloiled machine. Remember, a timely oil change keeps the mechanic away
Tackling vehicle maintenance and repairs, from tyre changes to engine overhauls. One day, you might be replacing brake pads; the next, diagnosing electrical issues.
Conducting regular vehicle inspections. Have a keen eye for spotting potential problems before they become major headaches? We want you
Carrying out general servicing and preplanned maintenance, as well as reactive maintenance. Because let's face it, life happens
Preparing our fleet for MOT tests and ensuring every vehicle meets DVSA standards. Not on our watch, defects
Providing essential information to our Workshop Manager for parts and equipment orders, and keeping our Transport Manager updated with inspection dates for recording and auditing purposes.

BONUS MISSIONS:

Lending a helping hand to our Safety Equipment Technician during LOLER and PAT inspections. After all, teamwork makes the dream work, right?

YOU'RE PERFECT FOR THIS ROLE IF YOU...

Know your way around HGVs better than your own kitchen.
Have a sixth sense for spotting potential vehicle problems.
Can handle a spanner with ease.
Love a challenge and are always ready to learn and grow.
Are excited about the idea of keeping a fleet of heavyduty vehicles at peak performance.
