Banking and Income Administrator - University of Southampton

Tate are proud to work in partnership with the University of Southampton Finance Team. The purpose of this role is to provide administration support for the Banking and Income Function of the University.

Job role:

- **Manage 2 Income Assistants, monitoring their workloads, work out put, allocating resources as appropriate, ensure deadlines are met, providing support as needed.

  • Assist with operational Banking functionality, take responsibility for your duties and the processes as agreed with the Banking and Treasury Manager. This will include bank statements import and clearance, monthly bank reconciliations and cashbook reconciliations.
  • Have regular review meetings with your team to look at procedures and processes ensuring they are functional and maximise efficiency.
  • Create new processes and procedures as is needed by analysing issues and their impact, making suggestions for improvements, and implementing any agreed changes.
  • Communicate with the Banking and Treasury Team, appraising them of any updates.
  • Assist with system upgrades by coordinating User Acceptance Testing for the Banking and Treasury Team.


  • Adhoc duties.**

  • **Experience managing others and being a great communicator
  • Knowledge of activitybased working.
  • Good MS office skills and familiarity with the Unit4 ABW accounting software.
