Description

As a Compliance Specialist you'll work across the McColls Safe & Legal central team to deliver safety management systems to safeguard colleagues and customers, and to ensure legal compliance at all times.

Reporting into the 'Head of Compliance' you'll work with stakeholders to reduce risk and improve compliance across Food Safety, Health & Safety and Trading Standards.

This role is based at our support centre in Bradford, West Yorkshire and therefore you must live a commutable distance.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

Provide clear assessment of risk and outline the necessary steps to improve, supported by business data and operational knowledge
Provide insight reports to highlight risks
Track the output, report and make suggestions to change processes in the operational environment to prevent risk and make the process simpler
Work with both central and field teams to minimise risk through effective coaching & action planning
Work with both central and field teams to provide insight and data that will allow decisions to be made based on risk and compliance trends, and metrics that allow them to prioritise activity
Ensure retail compliance in maintaining high standards of safe & legal management systems and data analysis
Build and review all reports on a periodic basis to ensure the data strategy is fulfilling its full potential and provide insight into new reporting ideas
Provide quick turnaround of data and exert responses
Identify new and efficient ways to simplify processes
