Description
Senior Backend Developer required for my client with strong skills in Java, Spring, Hibernate and MySQL. This role is for a financial company based in London offering remote working.

Prior experience in finance is beneficial, but not required. Full training will be given as necessary.


Responsibilities
- _Interpreting_ briefs to create high-quality coding that functions according to specifications.

  • Problem solving with other team members in the project.
  • Participating in group meetings to discuss projects and objectives.
  • Assisting other developers with troubleshooting, debugging, and coding.
  • Creating accurate work estimates and meeting deadlines in a dynamic fastmoving environment.

Requirements:


  • Degree in computer sciences, or a related field or equivalent commercial experience
  • At least 5 years' experience in Javabased programming.
  • Significant coding skills in Java, with Python being a plus but not essential.
  • Solid problemsolving and analytical abilities.
  • Experience within a cloud environment (especially AWS) would be useful.
  • Knowledge of current frameworks, SDKs, APIs, and libraries: Spring, Hibernate, Linux, MySQL.
  • Some of JSF, JMS, AWS SDKs, Docker, FIX (Quickfix/J) would be ideal but not essential.
  • Experience with automated testing. TDD (preferred), BDD, etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
