An opportunity has arisen for two administrative assistant roles to support the Specialist Children's Nursing Teams based at Sudborough House.

You will be part of a small team in a busy, friendly office supporting the existing administrative team. You will be expected to possess good communication
and organisational skills, be self-motivated with good computer skills as well as a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office packages. An
understanding of SystmOne would be an advantage.


As part of the CYP Services Administrative Team, you will provide administrative support to Community Children's Nursing, Care and Treatment of Children at Home (CATCH), Special School Nursing, Training and Children Continence Teams and other teams where required.


This includes the maintenance of effective office system(s), supporting the effective delivery of clinical and administrative responsibilities, and requires a flexible, pro-active approach to the organisation of your own workload dependent upon priorities at the time.

This post may involve occasional exposure to verbal aggression.

You must be reliable and flexible to meet service needs, and used to working in busy environment.

You will be part of a supportive team, in a valued role.

Support the administration function within the Specialist Children's Nursing Teams including Children's Continence, Special School Nursing,
Long Term Conditions, CATCH Team and nurse training team to enable effective and efficient services to be delivered to children, young people
and families, in the community.

The post holder must have good organizational ability, strong IT skills and flexibility is required.

The post holder will be responsible for setting up SystmOne rotas and managing clinic bookings as well as monitoring waiting lists.


Key Responsibilities:


Provision cover of telephone lines as directed, answering telephone calls from service users, families, carers and external organisations in an efficient manner, documenting these within Clinical records and escalating message.

Provision of full and efficient administrative support to staff team(s) including typing/formatting letters/reports, distributing incoming/outgoing mail, scanning and photocopying.


Maintenance of staff diaries / Rota's and assistance in planning/re-scheduling of appointments where requested - Booking of rooms and or interpreters.

To update and monitor any relevant SystmOne waiting lists and support the wider administrative team with task management.

Administrative support to other Team(s) as required, including Reception Cover.


Effort Requirement:

Require lengthy periods of sitting at a desk.

Requires standard keyboard skills.

Occasional requirement for prolonged concentration.
