About Our Client:

The client is a fast growth FMCG client who have operations across the UK. The payroll is growing quickly so you would need to be able to adapt and evolve very quickly.

As the Payroll Supervisor you would be responsible for:

  • Coaching, engaging and managing the payroll team, performing regular individual reviews and appraisals along with developing annual objectives and personal development plans for the team.
  • Process & supervise the monthly pay runs, transmitting all BACS (inc. expenses BACS) & payovers including HMRC, pension, life cover and other benefit suppliers.
  • Payroll year end processing i.e. P35s, P60s and P11Ds
  • Maintenance of staff payroll and tax records
  • Liaison with HMRC, statutory auditors and other external agencies on any payroll related
enquires/requests

  • Dealing with all pay related queries e.g. staff queries, correction of errors, costing errors etc.
  • Lead for of all developments and legislation surrounding payroll and expenses such as Gender Pay
Gap, National Minimum Wage etc.


The Successful Applicant:


  • Exceptional knowledge of how payroll is processed across a multisite environment.
  • Detailed knowledge of HMRC procedures and requirements.
  • Detailed knowledge of the payroll processing system.
  • Strong organisation and prioritisation skills to meet critical deadlines.
  • Clear and concise communication skills.
  • Strong people manager.
  • Able to effectively interact with and influence colleagues across key contact areas.
