Audit Senior/Assistant Manager - Almost fully remote role

Up to £55,000 (DOE)

AJ Chambers are pleased to be working with a Top 30 firm of Chartered Accountants, on their requirement of an Audit Senior/Supervisor, with the view to becoming Assistant Manager within 6-12 months.

This firm have an award nominated Audit team, who are offering great development opportunities and work-life balance in a top 40 Accountancy firm.

Main function of job:

Audit senior / supervisor reporting to audit managers and supervising more junior members of the audit team.

**Main duties
**This is a split role working on 60% audits and 40% accounts

Planning, supervising and carrying out audits with turnovers up to £250 million, including specialist audits e.g. FCA, pensions, solicitors, charities and schools.
Supervision and assisting junior staff with technical accounting and auditing problems
Preparation of draft corporation tax computations
Preparation of draft statutory accounts and consolidated accounts under FRS102 from clients' draft figures.
Drafting recommendations to management following audit fieldwork completion.
Preparing responses for group reporting for clients where we are the component auditor.
Larger accounts preparation jobs for audit exempt limited companies, partnerships, LLPs

Promotion and development prospects

About you:

Use of computer packages including Proaudit, CCH Accounts Production (AP), Sage, Quick Books, Xero, Alphatax and Microsoft office would be desirable.
Ideally ACA or ACCA qualified (degree not essential) or sitting finals imminently.
At least 2.5 years' experience in a practice
