Job summary
We are seeking a Graduate Research Infrastructure Engineer to join our award-winning team in IT Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the BEAR infrastructure, contributing to the security and efficient operation of all elements of the infrastructure, supporting users and responding to user issues and requests.+
Responsibilities
• Undertake administrative tasks such as system updates, hardware faults and configuration management under the direction of the team lead.• Undertake operational support for research computing services including HPC, Gitlab Storage Backup Archive Network databases network configuration management.• Develop proof-of-concepts with other team members support development services service components.+
Qualifications
• Formal education degree level STEM subject with some programming experience or equivalent experience • Experience working Linux ideally with experience system administration • Proficiency scripting skills essential BASH Python Perl.Job description
