North Norfolk Primary Care (NNPC) is an established Primary Care provider, owned by North Norfolk GP Practices.

Summary Job Role
You will be required to work across various patient facing clinical services. High levels of organisation, professionalism and the ability to work autonomously are required for this role.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Patient consultations to be sent via Docman or within SystmOne to the patient's registered Practice after a patient has been seen in clinic.
  • Complete the daily tasks generated by the Clinicians including 'Unassigned tasks' (communicating messages/requests to practices and/or staff).
  • Communicating to staff about rotas, shift availability, contact details.
  • Communicating to Enhanced Access Hubs about shifts, cancellations, or planned sessions.
  • NNPC Access (audit of who is accessing NNPC's clinical system appropriately).
  • Assess workload being referred into a service and allocate/reject as appropriate in discussion and support from clinical team.
  • Plan, implement and coordinate the workload of a service within the daily Clinical Huddle.
  • Take guidance and instruction from the clinical team, where required.
  • Provide information and advice to Practices or Service users on the service.
  • You will be able to receive, register and direct patients who are accessing the GP Front Door Service in a courteous, efficient and effective way.
  • General upkeep of the reception area as well as making sure the clinicians have everything they need to conduct their work.
  • Ensure IP&C checks are completed at the agreed intervals.
  • Provide support to the project management team and various clinical service teams which may require reception duties at various clinical settings.
  • Liaise with clinical staff on a regular basis and maintain clinical systems on a daily basis.
  • To support the management of clinical rotas, patient bookings across all services and correspond as necessary.
  • Ensure calls are answered and are made in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Respond to internal and external queries independently using own initiative and in a friendly manner.
  • Build relationships and cooperate with internal and external stakeholders to enable the successful collection of data and ability to secure information easily.
  • Attend project meetings and service team meetings as necessary.
  • Attend clinics and meetings when requested.
  • Collate data on a regular basis for project evaluation.
  • Administer and compile patient experience surveys for the clinical services.
  • Work within existing guidelines, policies and procedures for services.
  • The post holder shall provide cover for and undertake duties of absent colleagues when needed.
  • Any other tasks allocated by managers.
  • Maintain I.T functionality requests. Liaise with the IT department should any issues arise. Escalation of issues to line manager if not resolved.
  • Creation and maintenance of logins for any clinicians or staff who require it via our technical support team.
