Description

The Client Implementations organization sits within Securities Services Operations and is responsible for Program and Project management of client implementations on behalf of the Securities Services business.

Specific areas of focus for the next 12 months will be:

  • Working closely with the Regional Implementation Heads and Global Head of Account Opening in order to drive efficiency and accuracy of Custody Services client set-ups
  • Supporting and accelerating the implementation of strategic systems roll outs to improve the onboarding and account opening processes
  • Rolling out bestinclass operating metrics to track performance and efficiency of the function
  • Defining and implementing a clear strategy for continually strengthening the control environment, working in close partnership with Operational Control, Risk, Compliance and Internal Audit

Ongoing areas of global responsibility include:

  • Leadership of the Custody Service set-up function, approx. 40 FTE globally, driving efficiency and optimal organizational structure in order to support the growth of the Securities Services business
  • Development and implementation of effective governance, oversight and controls of the implementation processes
  • Definition and oversight of the delivery of strategic reengineering initiatives and delivery of internal replatforming initiatives globally
  • Implementation of initiatives to continuously improve STP rates and productivity, including the use of Robotics, workflow and other innovative reengineering techniques
  • Developing and communicating regular initiative status updates highlighting any potential risks
  • Leadership of all tasks and responsibilities associated with the planning, directing, resourcing and support of the daytoday activities of running a multi country team
  • Hiring, developing and rewarding staff based on meritocracy and promoting collaboration and diversity
  • Monitoring of industry trends, client satisfaction and service levels to ensure best in class service and competitive advantage
  • Managing budgets and headcount plans in order to meet targets
  • Maintaining a culture and environment where processes and controls are continually monitored and potential risks escalated on a timely basis

Qualifications & skills:


  • Relevant experience in Tier 1 global financial institutions, with Securities Services product knowledge
  • Experience delivering strategic change programmes and driving solutions for complex global teams spanning multiple years in a fast paced, large global financial services firm, ideally in an operations, risk or technology organisation
  • Energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive with strong organisational and followup skills and the ability to multitask effectively
  • Possesses expert level of knowledge in communications and proven success interacting with senior management both in the business, and corporate functions as well as the Operations, Business and Technology environments
  • Provides evaluative judgment based on analysis of factual information in complicated, unique and dynamic situations; draws on diverse range of internal and external sources
  • Selfreliant, good problem solver, results oriented with experience of working in a processdriven environment
  • Demonstrated experience leading people and developing effective and diverse teams across a global footprint
