Do you have experience in administration, with strong attention to detail and understand the need for confidentiality? This is a unique opportunity for an administrator to take your next step whilst being fully supported to take on responsibility for monthly payroll.

Do you currently work as a Payroll Administrator, interested in working on more varied administration tasks across a successful SME business and as part of a People and Culture team?


You will be reporting into the Head of People and Culture and have visibility with other Senior Management across the business.

You will cover the processing of monthly payroll, HR Admin support and act as the first point of contact for incoming enquiries to the group.


This position is office-based Monday to Friday based in the Weald of Kent. (9am - 5pm)

Key responsibilities include:


  • Support the Payroll Officer in accurately processing payroll
  • Provide general HR administrative support to the People & Culture team, ensuring employee records are kept up to date, and handling sensitive HR matters confidentially
  • Assist with HR projects and initiatives as directed by the Head of People.
  • Actively supporting Senior Management with administrative duties
  • Act as the first point of contact for any incoming telephone enquiries
  • Meet and greet visitors at Reception on an adhoc basis
  • Oversee all holiday requests, maintaining accurate records and coordinating with team members to ensure adequate coverage

Requirements:


  • A professional and friendly manner, with excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Organised with a high level of attention to detail
  • Proven experience in payroll or payroll administration with the knowledge of Sage 50 is advantageous but if not, all training will be given.
  • Proficient in using HR software, databases, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with integrity.
