We are seeking an experienced administrator to join our family-focussed specialist service which is dedicated to supporting children with disabilities and complex medical needs.

Purpose of the role:


You will be part of an aspirational fostering team where you will uphold the core values and beliefs of the organisation and contribute to the growth and development of the agency.

This includes ensuring that children, young people, and foster carers receive a high-quality service.


Key responsibilities:


  • Monitor, process and record details on children and young people referred to Fostering Together by local authorities.
  • Liaise with colleagues and foster carers about children and young people that may be a suitable match.
  • Develop and maintain proactive relationships with local authorities.
  • Carry out safer recruitment processes including stat checks and references.
  • Coordinate foster carer assessments and reviews.
  • Coordinate fostering panel meetings, support group meetings and family events.
  • Attend panel meetings to take notes/minutes.
  • Social work administration duties, ensuring compliance with fostering regulations, standards, guidance, and bestpractice.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Very high level of attention to detail.
  • Understanding of data protection.
  • Experience of accurate note/minute taking.
  • The ability to manage time and workload effectively.
  • A willingness to continue to learn and broaden their knowledge in relation to disabilities and communication methods.

Location, hours and remuneration:


  • Office based role in the outskirts of Ashford, Kent.
  • 37.5 hours per week.
- £26,000 per annum with 25 days of paid holiday plus bank holidays.
