Job Title:
Primary Teacher - Year 1 Maternity Cover


Location:
South of Sheffield

Start Date: 17th April 2023


Contract:
Fixed-term, maternity cover


We are currently seeking a passionate and committed Primary Teacher to cover a Year 1 class maternity cover starting after Easter 2023, from 17th April.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a small moderately sized semi rural primary school in the southof Sheffield.


As a Primary Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging and inspiring lessons that encourage children to develop their knowledge, skills and understanding.

You will be joining a supportive and welcoming team that is committed toproviding an inclusive and nurturing environment for all students.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver lessons that are engaging, inspiring and challenging
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that meets the needs of all students
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to pupils and parents as required
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure continuity and progression across the curriculum
  • Establish positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues
  • Participate in school events and extracurricular activities

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Knowledge of the national curriculum for Year
  • Experience teaching in a primary school setting (NQTs welcome to apply)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to plan and deliver effective lessons
