You will help to lead and support a team of dedicated staff and provide residents with the highest standard of care and support, in accordance with the Home's philosophy of care and the individual care plan.
You will provide management support to the care home and the running of it, and when required, manage the servicesResponsibilities include:
- To build strong and meaningful relationships with the residents and assist them with their Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) to help them maintain and improve, where possible, their independence, individuality and mobility
- To build a strong and well established dedicated staff team who can provide excellent care and support to the residents
- Assistance with ADLs includes, but is not limited to: Administering medication, Bathing/personal care, meal times and participating in meaningful and purposeful daily activities, empowering resident choice, desire and preference where possible
- To lead and take responsibility for a number management roles and duties including to ensure the home complies with CQC by following legislation and it guidance, rota management, invoicing and our new electronic care planning system
- To assess both local authority and private referrals to ensure the home maintains full capacity
- Establishing a very detailed and focused relationship with the residents and their family members/friends/other key visitors/other staff members so as to serve as a point of contact and reference for all parties involved
- To attend training and educational sessions as required. This will ensure your skill set is up to date and that your confidence remains high while delivering care to the residents
The Role:
- Capacity to communicate both verbally and in writing and with using computers
- Positive attitude, passion and willingness to develop skills within the role in order to progress
- Flexibility to work shift patterns
- Good interpersonal skills
- Reliable, Accountable and Punctual
- To put the resident needs first and to assist them with the greatest respect and compassion possible
- To immediately report any unusual findings to your line manager
- To assist and follow instruction from the senior management team
- Maintain thorough documentation throughout the home
- Previous experience in working with the frail elderly and those living with dementia is preferred as is a previous senior post or management experience

Salary:
£27,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
