My client has an amazing opportunity for a
DEDICATED and
PASSIONATE Childrens Learning Disability Support Worker to join a 6-bed Childrens Residential service in Brierley Hill, Dudley.

You will be Supporting young people between the ages of 5-18 with Learning/Physical disabilities and complex health needs. Getting paid to go to theme parks and the cinema is certainly a perk of the job

Due to the nature of the job and the activities involved, we are only able to consider applicants who have a full driver's licence and a car

Overview:

Role: Childrens Learning Disability Support Worker
Salary: £22,360 £23,920
Location: Brierley Hill, Dudley
Hours: Fulltime, 40 hours a week

Shift Pattern: 7am - 9pm or 1pm - 9pm

The role:

To ensure that the children are safe and protect them from risks to their health and welfare.
To keep the homely, friendly culture and environment of the homes.
Keeping on top of household chores such as cleaning & doing laundry
Provide support for the children and young people in the home and promote their independence and wellbeing.
Maintaining uptodate knowledge of the individual's care plan, guidelines, reward system and preferred method of communication.
Supporting poor behaviour safely and sympathetically.
Develop and maintain good working relationships with the staff, parents, Social Workers and other professionals that may be involved in the young people's lives such as Psychologists.
Experience as a Children's Learning Disability Support Worker, or within a similar social care setting is desirable but not essential.
MUST be a driver as you will be required to transport the young people from time to time
You must be over the age of 1
You MUST be an empathetic and relatable person, have good listening and communication skills, and a natural instinct to help others
