PASSIONATE Childrens Learning Disability Support Worker to join a 6-bed Childrens Residential service in Brierley Hill, Dudley.
Due to the nature of the job and the activities involved, we are only able to consider applicants who have a full driver's licence and a car
Overview:
- Role: Childrens Learning Disability Support Worker
- Salary: £22,360 £23,920
- Location: Brierley Hill, Dudley
- Hours: Fulltime, 40 hours a week

The role:
- To ensure that the children are safe and protect them from risks to their health and welfare.
- To keep the homely, friendly culture and environment of the homes.
- Keeping on top of household chores such as cleaning & doing laundry
- Provide support for the children and young people in the home and promote their independence and wellbeing.
- Maintaining uptodate knowledge of the individual's care plan, guidelines, reward system and preferred method of communication.
- Supporting poor behaviour safely and sympathetically.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with the staff, parents, Social Workers and other professionals that may be involved in the young people's lives such as Psychologists.
- Experience as a Children's Learning Disability Support Worker, or within a similar social care setting is desirable but not essential.
- MUST be a driver as you will be required to transport the young people from time to time
- You must be over the age of 1
- You MUST be an empathetic and relatable person, have good listening and communication skills, and a natural instinct to help others
