Description

Dispensary duties:
dispense medicines for in-patients and patients on discharge and undertake related dispensary duties.

Dispense medicines for in-patients and patients on discharge, under the general direction of a Pharmacy Technician; including supply of controlled drugs, ensuring maintenance of associated records, in accordance with standard operating procedures.

You will liaise with pharmacy purchasing service about the availability of out-of-stock medicines / pharmaceutical sundries to ensure the completion of outstanding prescriptions.

Provide patients, patients representatives, staff and other people who visit or telephone the Pharmacy Department with an efficient and co-operative service by responding directly to their needs or, if necessary, referring to appropriate member of staff.
