Claire's School Solutions are looking for a Key Stage 2 teaching assistant in the Allestree area to support a child with BSL in a year 3 class.

Therefore, knowledge and experience in British Sign Language is required. The schools most recent Ofsted reportstates that this is a 'Good' school with a strong ethos of positivity. The pupils are described as 'well-rounded' and 'curious' with 'positive attitudes to life'.


Working as part of the schools dynamic and creative teams, the appointed teaching assistant will focus on delivering intervention-based support and you will have an understanding of the curriculum and will be able to build solid relationships with the pupils.


You should have:

  • Previous experience working in an education environment.
  • Have an understanding of safeguarding.
  • A passion for working and supporting children's learning.
  • Previous UK experience working in a Primary School environment.
  • Strong communication skills that can be demonstrated by an ability to build relationships with other professionals.
  • The ability to support the class teacher in motivating the children to create a stimulating learning environment.
