JOB PURPOSE

The Cloud Platform Services (CPS) team, part of the UniOps function, has a vision to accelerate cloud adoption and drive a future fit model for innovation and growth across Unilever.


As part of senior leadership team, you will be working closely with the CPS Director on the delivery of transformational cloud technology programmes and other restructuring CPS projects.

The Cloud Programme Lead is responsible for leading all major programmes underpinning the Unilever Cloud agenda such as consolidation and shadow cloud, including creation of business cases, managing deliverables including financial success against business case targets and tracking commercial and contractual commitments as part of the programme.

The core mission of a Cloud Programme Lead is to drive forward delivery of CPS engagements for its customers. The Cloud Programme Lead exemplifies programme technical expertise and best practice acting as an ambassador for all delivery.

RESPONSIBILITIES- Programme Management Expected to manage global teams of project managers on large engagements. Portrays delivery excellence exceeding KPIs against delivery. Follows defined PMO processes and upholds operational standards. Oversight and leadership of multiple concurrent projects, programmes, workstreams and/or client engagements. Leads multiple Project Managers running work streams in a programme/portfolio/large agile process Continuous Improvement- Takes advantage of economies of scale and feedback loops to increase efficiency within the delivery team. Ensures continual improvement and total customer satisfaction to customers and stakeholders. Managing Financial delivery- Own the financial delivery of programmes (Non ITIB), in collaboration with Cloud Economics Lead. Tracks project and programme budgets and business benefit realisations Manage contracts and business case- Own the contractual elements with any 3rd parties and tracked to ensure benefits are realised against business cases on a regular basis. Support and at times lead the development of future transformational business cases (such as the ongoing Cloud Papers) Technical leadership - Provides guidance to CPS Project Managers on leading technical resources across engagements.- Stakeholder Management - Manages business director stakeholder relationships. Effectively manages director expectations throughout projects and programmes.

Manages Programme 3rd party relationships- Risk & Issue Management - Effectively manages risks and issues, ensuring that lessons learned are consolidated and shared across all workstreams.- Change Management - Manages changes to schedule, scope, cost, contractual items, on assigned projects.

Follows defined process for changes to assigned projects.- Leadership, Coaching & Mentoring - Utilises advanced coaching and mentoring techniques to aid development and drive engagement within their team.- Resource and Demand Forecast - Ensure that there is a comprehensive view of the delivery portfolio, resource allocation and forecast.

Actively manage the resourcing to identify resource bottlenecks.

Manage project demand and resourcing across the portfolio.- Governance - Responsible for ensuring that projects and programmes are adhering to governance processes, templates and income requirements- Vendor Relationships - Maintains relationships with key vendors to ensure resolution of risks and issues.

Ensure delivery standards are implemented and maintained. Challenge vendors to constantly improve and innovate to align with customer demands.


ALL ABOUT YOU- Relevant senior experience of complex programme management.- Has successfully delivered 5 or more large scale, highly complex and innovative enterprise cloud projects across multiple cloud service providers.- Delivered multimillion £ programmes that have realised the benefits from the business case.- Ability to form strong relationships within Unilever and with key individuals in partner organizations to deliver against objectives.- Demonstrated skills in working across multi-functional teams to bring increased business value through seeing the bigger picture, collaboration and alignment of diverse needs.- Strong people management skills.

Able to balance needs and asks for the team with business delivery requirements.- Ability to operate independently to drive the business forward.
