Description
The Medrescue Group is a Paramedic led Ambulance Service working in partnership with the NHS. We are currently seeking Paramedic Clinical Mentors to join our Clinical Leadership team working from our base in Newbury.

Main duties of our Clinical Mentors are:

  • Ensuring that all medicine audits and are fully completed monthly and all discrepancies are escalated using the appropriate escalation process.
  • Address any clinical concerns relating to nominated mentees that have been escalated or identified through crew and client interaction with the support of the Paramedic Team Leaders.
  • Promote and maintain professional relationships with staff, clients, and management in line with the core values of Medrescue Group.
  • Contribute to investigations undertaken after expressions of concern from staff, clients, and members of the public.
  • Attend project meetings, recruitment and open days, inductions, clinical assessments and CPD sessions when required to do so by the clinical needs of the business
  • Effectively communicate with the Paramedic Team Leaders and operational staff to facilitate a collaborative team approach.
  • Be responsible for the staff side delivery of a KPI improvement project ensuring all clinical staff are educated to and feel supported to make safe rapid clinical decisions.
  • Engage and proactively contribute to new projects and initiatives to support and maximise service provision for the client.
  • Alongside the Paramedic Team Leaders, engage with the delivery of the Medrescue Group welfare system and continue to promote health lifestyle choices in all staff to facilitate better work life balance and a reduction in the physical and psychological harm caused by operation ambulance deployment.
  • Foster the culture of openness, integrity, candour and honesty in place within Medrescue Group.
  • Provide clinical operational support to students of all grades and contribute in NQP reviews, developmental action planning and implementation of clinical assurance processes alongside the Paramedic Team Leaders.
  • Complete shift reports for all students and probationers at a minimum of threemonthly intervals.
  • Contribute to the delivery of accredited internal CPD sessions.
  • Maintain own fitness to practice.
  • Be a point of contact for pastoral support for staff and escalate to the Paramedic Team Leaders along the appropriate escalation process.
  • Utilise administration time independently and productively and proactively to ensure compliance with responsibilities.
  • Communicate with the scheduling team to proactively manage clinical shift allocation to allow for clinical contact hours with nominated mentees.

£48,000.00 per year

Licence/Certification:

  • Full UK Manual Driving licence (required)
  • Blue Light Driving Qualification (required)
  • HCPC Registration as a Paramedic with no restrictions (required)
