Editorial Assistant / Content Writer
We are looking for an organised, passionate and proactive Editorial Assistant / Content Writer with strong attention to detail to join our small but dedicated health and lifestyle content team.

Rest Less is a social impact business that wants to help a generation of over 50s get more from life, by helping meet the needs of this large, diverse and under-represented audience.
Since we launched Rest Less in early 2019, we have successfully built a trusted and respected brand that people turn to for advice and guidance.
This means that we take huge pride and focus on the quality of our writing and online content, as it is the primary interaction our members have with us.
About the role
We are looking for a highly organised individual with strong attention to detail, who is passionate about helping others by explaining complex ideas clearly and delivering high-quality content.
In particular, we're looking for someone who can liaise with our partners to produce new sponsored content while supporting the editorial team with admin tasks.
Responsibilities include:
- Organising the content calendar
- Updating existing content
- Writing new sponsored content
- Interviewing
- Researching issues that are important to our audience quickly and accurately
- Analysing and optimising content for SEO (in conjunction with the SEO team)
- Ensuring live content and site links are kept fully up to date
- Auditing our existing content library
- Proofreading content
- General administrative tasks to support the lifestyle editor
- Selecting appropriate images to use onsite
- Posting to social media
- Uploading content to WordPress
About you
- Organised with strong attention to detail you will need to be highly organised with high levels of attention to detail. Often it's the little details that help make an outstanding customer experience
- Excellent written communication skills all of our interaction with our members is online and we take exceptional pride in the quality of our content with a very distinctive 'Rest Less' tone.
- Passionate about helping others and delivering great written advice and guidance your research and writing will be the main interaction that many Rest Less members will see. This is a real opportunity to help people but comes with significant responsibility.
- Empathetic you're able to put yourself in the shoes of our members so that you are able to. understand how we can best deliver for them.
- Takes ownership and is a selfsufficient problem solver this means taking ownership of your tasks from end to end, whatever they ask, to always deliver the best outcome for our members.
- Humble with no ego our culture is one of the reasons why our team enjoy coming to work every day. We're a closeknit team and we work collaboratively.
- A degree or equivalent in English, Journalism, or Publishing (preferred but not essential).
- Health and wellbeing knowledge knowledge and general interest in health and wellbeing would be helpful, but not essential provided you're willing to learn quickly.
- Computer literate and comfortable working with Microsoft Word and Excel (and equivalent Google software equivalents).
- Comfortable working with WordPress, or a willingness to learn.
