Our leading client is looking for Software Tester


Activities will include:

  • Carry out a mixture of UI and automated scriptbased tests on products.
  • Define test cases for new software features.
  • Define new software releases test plans.
  • Logging and tracking issues to the product teams.
  • Configure test environments on virtual/remote machines.
  • Familiar with software installation and configuration.
  • Investigating and performing root cause analysis of reported issues.
  • Develop new strategies to validate all aspects of the lifecycle of the software.
  • Contributing to test strategies, including the assessment of technologies and methods used
for the continuous integration, test, and delivery of pipeline products.

The company will support your personal development to allow you to deepen your knowledge of the
corporate IT systems used for real-time.


Qualifications:


  • Previous experience (3+ years) in enterprise level software products testing
  • A good understanding of the software development process
  • Good judgment skills
  • Good writing skills (for documenting the software)
  • Good communications and consultancy skills
  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physical Science or Mathematics
  • Additional experience of interest:NET C#, SQL Server, Automated Test Frameworks
  • Comfortable operating in deadline driven environment.
  • Excellent organisational skills, rigorous and attentive to detail

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
£27,385.28-£35,000.00 per year


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Edinburgh: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
